Quintessenza Restaurant is located on the ground floor of Hotel Nazionale in Sanremo, on Corso Matteotti, in the vibrant city center, a few steps from the Casinò and the famous Passeggiata Imperatrice.
With its charming Liberty style, the restaurant is divided into two main areas: a spacious indoor dining room with around 80 seats, and a pleasant outdoor terrace with an additional 40. For special occasions, private events, birthday parties or corporate dinners, you can also reserve the hotel’s exclusive Seven Rooftop, offering stunning sea views.
The culinary philosophy focuses on high-quality local ingredients, creatively and innovatively reinterpreted. The fusion of tradition and experimentation can be savored not only with the palate, but also with the eyes, thanks to great attention to presentation and mise en place.
The highlight at Quintessenza is Mediterranean cuisine, particularly Ligurian specialities: from traditional dishes such as Brandacujun, pesto pasta or octopus salad with potatoes and Taggiasca olives, to fresh fish served raw, as tartare, fried, or grilled. Seafood lovers will also appreciate signature dishes such as lobster tagliolini or crispy fried calamari.
Our constant research allows us to showcase the finest local produce, such as vegetables from Sanremo and Taggiasca cultivar extra virgin olive oil, telling the story of our land in a contemporary way and taking you on a journey through the flavors and aromas of the Riviera dei Fiori. We also offer vegetarian and vegan dishes and, upon request, gluten-free options.
Every dish is paired with a carefully curated selection of local wines à la carte, representing the various DOC appellations of the Ponente Ligure, including Rossese di Dolceacqua DOC, Vermentino, Pigato, Ormeasco, Granaccia Riviera Ligure di Ponente DOC, and Moscatello di Taggia DOC.
Quintessenza Restaurant also serves a selection of traditional Italian pizzas, perfect for those who prefer a more informal dinner.
